Top 10: Favorite Romance Novels

I really like Top 10 lists.  They're fun, quick, and easy.  I think I might decide to do more of them in the future.  I'm pretty busy today so I thought I'd throw together a fast list of my Top 10 favorite romance novels.  I already have seven listed over at DIK, so this list includes those.  It was tough to pick the other three, but here's what I came up with (in no specific order):

1. Lover Mine by JR Ward
2. Romancing Mr. Bridgerton by Julia Quinn
3. Agnes and the Hitman by Jennifer Crusie
4. Good in Bed by Jennifer Weiner
5. Scandal in Spring by Lisa Kleypas
6. Private Arrangements by Sherry Thomas
7. Between Mist and Midnight by Kathleen O'Brien
8. The Madness of Lord Ian MacKenzie by Jennifer Ashley
9. Perfect Chemistry by Simone Elkeles
10. Bait by Karen Robards

In conclusion, I seem to like books whose author's first names are Jennifer, or at least begin with a J.  Interesting!  I had no idea.

  1. I have to admit that I have only read one of the books on your list. But I agree with you about it. Lover Mine is one fantastic book!

  2. Have I told you lately that I love you? AHHHHH!!!! You are the ONLY other person besides myself that I know who chose Scandal In Spring as their favorite LK novel. I loved it. It was perfect. Sebastian *rolls eyes* He had appeal and all, but, Matthew Swift...he was the man...sigh...

Did you ever read LK's Again The Magic? Definitely another all time fav of mine.

I also loved Perfect Chemistry, as well. It was recommended to me by another blogger and I took a shot. Really good story and I don't even usually read YAs.

The Jennifer Ashley book was pretty good, too.

As for the rest, I'm going to have to come back and add these to Goodreads. I can't believe I haven't read that JQ novel *doh*

  3. Julie- If you had to pick one that's a good one to pick lol! I'm too in love with JM for words.

Barbara- LOL You totally get it. Sebastian was pretty awesome (in his own way) but there is no way he could have compared to Matthew Swift! I think it was the whole tortured-love-from-afar thing. I'm such a sucker for it.

I haven't read Again the Magic yet- it's somewhere on my TBR shelf (*goes to look for it*)

  4. Oh, I'm such a sucker for the love-from-afar bit. The scene in Scandal In Spring where he drops the button on the floor...OMG, my heart stopped beating. To think he had it all those years. Ugh...I love it. I have to re-read the book.

And as for Again The Magic...definitely my fav LK novel. SIS comes in a close second. I'm eager to see what you think of the book because people seemed to either love it or hate it.

  5. Romancing Mr. Bridgerton is like that too- you either love it or hate it. It's also a love-from-afar book, but this time it's the heroine not the hero. Gee, is there a pattern emerging here, lol?
